SOLD......Tricia and David Scott are pleased to announce that Judy and Hugh McElroy, the owners of Time and Timber Ranch, Tioga, Texas, are the new proud owners of Contador. Judy trains with Gretchen Aycock of Clear Creek Farm , Denton, Texas. We are excited about him staying local and being able to watch Judy and Contador advance through the Dressage Levels.
Contador SG is a 2009 branded Premium Oldenburg gelding by Calimero out of Katinka. He currently stands 16.3h and is destined for the FEI ring. Concho has 3 amazing
international quality gaits to appeal to even the most discerning professional. At all three gaits he demonstrates correct balance and rhythm with fantastic elasticity and lightness that make him a pleasure and thrill to ride and simply mesmerizing to watch. Shown lightly to allow him time to mature, Concho has shown Training and First Level scoring to 74% with 8s for gaits and comments from judges that include "Powerful!" and "Bounding!" He is currently schooling 3rd/4th Level and made his 3rd Level debut in August 2015 scoring a respectable 65.641% at 3rd 3 despite a few young horse mistakes. Though he is currently very competitive at the lower levels and a joy to compete, Concho will truly reach his potential and shine at the FEI Levels. He has already demonstrated a natural talent for Piaffe and Passage and was seemingly born doing flying changes. Concho is currently schooling 4th and PSG. His changes are definitely a highlight and he is quickly developing the strength in his canter that will produce a truly fantastic pirouette. In addition to incredible gaits and a ton of natural talent, Concho steals the show with his "pocket pony" personality and "never quit work ethic." He loves his job and his people!
