Noble Champions, Cedar Hill, TX

What a great weekend! It was so wonderful so see so many members of the club; rider and auditors alike. Despite the very wet weather, all the horses and riders were fantastic and Tricia and Royal Jester were superstars, demonstrating improvement in all areas of their training and even showing off their flying changes and baby piaffe!

Dallas Dressage Club Lemonade Daze Show

 —  —

Las Colinas Equestrian Center, Irving, TX

Contador SG does it again! Headed out to the Dallas Dressage Club Lemonade Daze show this past weekend with Concho hoping to earn his second qualifying score at First Level and practice the Training level for championships. He cleaned up! Concho earned a 71.9% on First Level Test 3 and then rocked the Training Level Test 3 with a 74.4% on Saturday which also earned him High Point Oldenburg NA of the show! As if that wasn't enough, we came out on Sunday planning to take some risks a bit with the First Level Test 3 and came away with a 73.4%! 9 on gaits and 9 on his freewalk! Two blue ribbons and one red! This young horse is just incredible!

Yet another outstanding clinic with Whit Watkins! As usual her insight into each horse and rider's issues was spot on and she delivered with ideas and exercises for each individual need. We can not thank her enough for all her wisdom and her willingness to share as well as to all those who participated and continue to support our efforts to bring quality instruction to our farm! Stay tuned for updates for the next clinic!

FWDC Schooling Show

Willow Draw, Weatherford, TX

Had a really exciting weekend at the Fort Worth Dressage Club Schooling Show! The 3 year old filly Dior, by Donerweiss, made her first trip down centerline showing in Intro. Despite an inordinately long warm up as the two rides were so close together, she stayed right with me and kept her mind on business earning high 60s on both her tests and never looked twice at the judges stand! So proud of her and impressed with her sensibility!

Royal Jester tried his first 3rd level test earning a solid 64%! Given that his changes are still a relatively new skill, we are very pleased with his performance as well as the comments from the judge. Onward and upward!

Thank you so much to the Fort Worth Dressage Club for hosting such a wonderful, relaxed show that is so accommodating to young horses and riders trying to get their feet wet and to Trey and Janet Book for allowing us to invade their fabulous property, Willow Draw.

FWDC Cowtown Dressage Show

Las Colinas Equestrian Center, Irving, TX

Had an absolutely awesome show weekend at the Fort Worth Dressage Club Cowtown Dressage Show! Contador SG made his 2014 debut showing in both Training Level Test 3 and First Level Test 3 earning qualifying scores in all three of his classes! I could not be happier with this amazing young horse. He just seems to rise to the occasion every time and handles the pressure like a true showman. So excited for this young horse's future! Royal Jester also had an outstanding show earning qualifying scores on both of his Second 3 tests and continuing to gain experience as a top show horse for the farm!
